There are so many fun things to do while onboard that it's incredibly easy to get caught up in it all and forget just why you took the cruise in the first place! So Charlotte & I made sure we went onto deck 4 to the lounge chairs and just sit for a while. Once we were there it was almost too easy to just sit and enjoy the rest of the evening right there - except that dinner was next! And the one thing you can't miss on a cruise is dinner! But until then you can find us right here ... just chillin'.

We went there right after we finished eating lunch. We were one of the first to stop by so we had the run of the place. Charlotte went from place to place, whiile Travis immediately saw the computers and stationed himself right there. I loved the look of the place, and I only wish I was young enough to spend time there, too!

They thought it was so cool that one came down from off of the wall and the other was made from the couch. That made sleeping on them all the more special. Plus, having the television set strategically placed just in front of them didn't hurt either, especially at bedtime. They had to take turns sleeping on the top bunk, of course. Sweet Dreams!

So I wasn't so surprised to find a comfy sitting area where cartoons were continuously played. The wait to board the Wonder seemed incredibly long at this point, so any distraction was a definite help!

The cruise was just too short, especially since I missed one whole day being sick. But I was so thankful that we were able to take this trip as a family, to have fun and just let time go by. Do I want to take another cruise? You bet! But until then I will always remember that it was truly a magical time.

I got up early to run around the ship - early enough to watch the sunrise, then waited on the top deck and watched as the Wonder was docked. It was fun to see all that goes on to prepare us for the day, as well as get a first glimpse of what we would be doing on shore. Seeing the Flying Dutchman was great and I couldn't wait to get closer to it for a good look. But then it was time for me to go wake up my crew and get ready for a day of fun and adventure.

Read if you dare! For as long as I can remember, I've been wanting to go on a cruise. And when Disney got into the cruise business, that was the cruise line I wanted to travel on. I didn't care where, but just to do it. I watched all the Travel Channel specials, lurked on the DCL forums at the DisBoards, ordered brochures and DVDs and talked with friends who had been lucky enough to have been on a DCL cruise. I just wanted to do it. I wanted to know. So when John asked me what I wanted to do for my 50th birthday, I didn't hesitate to respond. "I want to go on a Disney cruise." And he said okay. You could've knocked me over with a feather. So I planned and dreamed and couldn't wait for the day. And it finally came, and I was in Disney heaven! I had everything planned that I wanted to do: galley tour, ship tour, martini tasting, laying by the pool, scarfing down countless calories of chocolate goodies at the dessert buffet, the movies and shows to see, and the photographs that I would take. As we came into the Route 66 area on the ship tour we were shown the carpet, which was a map of the entire route of Route 66 from Santa Monica to Chicago. As our guide was saying that many times people on the tour saw their hometown on the map, I looked over and saw Simi Valley tucked over in a corner! It was partly cut off, but there it was, right above Malibu and Thousand Oaks, where it belongs. It goes to show that you just never know what you will see at Disney!

It almost seemed so surreal after all the months of waiting and planning. But we were here! It was so much fun to see Mickey & friends come out on stage in their sailor uniforms dancing away and having the time of their lives.
