Description: I've been working on journaling/art journaling my way through the recent and not so recent changes in my life. Love Changes Everything: Elements, Patterned Papers & Word Bits by Andilynn Designs. Additional bubble wrap from July Birthday: Paint Accents by Andilynn Designs. String and paint spatter from Rainy Days by Andilynn Designs. Nothing was recolored but I did use different blending modes and removed the color from some items.

Description: Since Allison's colors were golden yellow, blue and turquoise I had to throw in a little yellow and some greenery. There was this really cool wall near my kid's house and they wanted to get some of their wedding pics taken here. Some of the best pics came from here, although not all are as colorful, mostly head shots or tight crops. Jessica Feely was the awesome photographer. Credits to come.

Description: No credits--just tried to make everything fit and added a white line between the pics and tossed on a little texture. The fonts are Wendy Heavy (not free) and Zipty Do which I think is a free font. I scrapped with picture that are less than a month old!!! I took these pics in our house right before we started taking down the tree. That's why the tree is kind of bare at the top!

4th of July Flag Raising

Description: My mother-in-law and her friend started an early-morning flag-raising ceremony with the kids from church 50 years ago. There are always cinnamon rolls and juice to entice people to get out of bed and go celebrate our countries independence. This year the mayor and the secretary of state gave her commendations. The best part was that it was a surprise. Lots of her kids, kid-in-laws, grandkids and even baby great grandkids showed up for the occasion. It was so neat to see grandma J get recognized for such a fantastic tradition.
