I'm doing a challenge with a group of friends to complete a BOM page per month. This was March's page. To list our top 10 songs.

I did a lot of masking on this one. And tons of journaling!

Journaling reads:
"Music has always been important in my life. There are songs that can move me to feel the deepest of emotions. Some songs remind me of special people, times or events. Others hold thoughts and wishes for the future. In putting together this list, it was difficult for me. I don’t really have a top 10, there are just too many songs that I enjoy. This list are just some important songs to me. I like music of all sorts. Well, except for Rap, I’ve never been a big fan of it. I do however enjoy classical, jazz, country, rock, pop, just about anything that has a good beat or great lyrics. My favorite group when I was younger was Fleetwood Mac. I like any of their songs. I remember my brother sending me a carnation on Valentine’s Day when we were in high school with a poem that said “Roses are red, Licorice is black, I like you as much as you like Fleetwood Mac”. I could listen to my sister-in-law Cheryl sing anytime. I wish she hadn’t passed away so young. I would so love to hear her sing again. My friend Rosie is an awesome singer too. I’ve got her tunes in my iPod. I sing along when they play. God did not bless me with musical talent, but I do give my voice back to Him when I sing in church or in the car. My boys will sometimes jam along with me in the car, we’ve often broken out into the full “air-band” to Bon-Jovi, Rascal Flatts, Aerosmith and most especially Journey’s “Separate Ways”. I remember my brother and I collecting some of our favorite singles on 45. Or saving up our money to buy the “lp” (long-playing) 33⅓ rpm record album. They were 12” in diameter and made of vinyl. A stylus needle would ride the grooves of the album to read the music, but would also wear it out. They would get dusty and scratched and began to sound horrible after being played frequently. Then music was available on 8-track and cassette tape, which was great cause you could get portable players to take your music with you. Sometimes songs would straddle sides of the tape and would be cut-off mid-song waiting for you to flip the tape. Finally along came the CD (compact disc). Which is read by a laser and has a longer life than the old vinyl records. I still call them “albums” Now you can download your music digitally to your computer, iPod or phone, talk about portable! I have the 2nd generation iPod Nano. Love it!"

My Top Ten list reads:
*What a wonderful World ~ Louis Armstrong
(I sang this to each of the boys when they were born. They walked me down the aisle to it when Kevin and I got married)
*Eagle & the Hawk ~ John Denver
(Always an inspirational song for me)
*Ave Maria ~ Cheryl Faix
(Cheryl was blessed with a beautiful voice. She sang this at my first wedding. I can’t hear this song without thinking of her)
*I Cross My Heart ~ George Strait
(Our wedding song)
*I Hope You Dance ~ Lee Ann Womack
(My wishes for my children. We danced to this with the boys at our wedding)
*Separate Ways ~ Journey
(The boys and I would play the air band in the car singing along to this song)
*You Gotta Be ~ Des’ree
(Reminds me to believe in myself)
*Return to Pooh Corner ~ Kenny Loggins
(I love Winnie the Pooh)
*Take Five ~ The Dave Brubeck Quartet
(You can’t help but relax when you hear this song)
*Walk this Way ~ Aerosmith
(Reminds me of riding Rock-n-Roller Coaster at Disney with Patrick & Chris)

Super page. I enjoyed reading the journaling. Not sure I could list my top 10, however, you included several of my most all time favorites.
