Inspired by week 29 of The Memory Logbook

Journaling: 1999. my first chat room. it was for depression. i needed a nickname to enter. i could have used my real name, but i wanted something different. i sat there and sat there, trying to come up with a unique name, and sat there some more. just as i was about to give up and use my real name, one of our cats walked past me. and it hit me. i could use her name! it was something different and i didn’t think anyone else would be using it. that is how i became winka.
then they closed the chatroom, and many of us had become friends and we still wanted to chat so we went to an aol chatroom, and in those rooms it went by the aol screen name, and to make it easier for people to remember me, i wanted to change that name and i wanted something a little longer. i asked my friends for some ideas and one of them made the comment that i was always looking out for everyone and i had a big heart. and some else said, how about winkasheart? and that is what i have stuck with since that time.
i use it in forums. i use it for my blog and i plan
on using it for my business. it is my email address and you can find me on instant messengers using the same name.
i am winkasheart.
