Journaling: When you picked out this back pack, I didn’t realize it would be the last one I bought you.
You were about 16 and still had a couple years left of school, so I figured this one would go the way of the others from past years, worn out and thrown out, barely making it through the school year. But we decided to spend a little more and get a better one this time around, and boy has it lasted!
It finished high school, went on trips, went to boot camp, on vacations, drill weekends, college, road trips, day trips, AIT, and to Iraq twice.
It is 10 years later, and it’s still there by the door ready to be grabbed and filled and used - your trusty companion and holder of all things.
