Every single time we get together mom insists on a family photo. I guess it is her way of compensating for not having a professional family photo. It may be annoying when we are trying to rush out the door and mom remembers that we haven’t taken “the picture”, but I’m glad she insists. I enjoy that because of mom I have a picture to look back on different stages of our lives. I love seeing Tyler with a stained lip from drinking soda only like a kid can. Then there is Alan who I don’t see much anymore and when I do he is never “dressed down” anymore. I guess he is too professional for t-shirts anymore. There’s mom holding on to Lily for dear life because it breaks her heart to not live close by us. Ken and Becky, well....they just make me laugh. Dad is the same as usual with his goofy grin. Then there is our little family. Was it really on four years ago that it was just the three of us? It seems more recent than that. All these things are wonderful to remember, but what really matters is that it shows we are happiest when we are all together as a family. It has been years since we’ve all been together and I can’t wait for when we are so that mom will insist on “just one more family picture!”
