Sometimes I wonder why I wasn't more creative in choosing my username. I have always loved to sew. I couldn't wait until I was old enough to get my hands on a sewing machine, and when I did I was in heaven. I couldn't get enough of it. But since money was tight in our family the only way I could get clothes was to make them, since back then it was less expensive than purchasing ready made. And I loved the challenge of dressmaking - I even made my wedding gown and the baptism gowns for my two children. Fast forward: It was 1998, I was 38 years old and staying home with my first child. I needed something to do, and I had always wanted to do more quilting. So I got onto the computer and started looking at the quilting boards that were popping up all over the internet. Since I wanted to join one, I needed a username. For the life of me I couldn't think of anything more creative than QuiltyMom. I figured since it was a quilt board I should have something with the word "quilt" in it. And since I was a new mom, QuiltyMom was born. I came to realize just how much I loved to quilt, so much that now I even teach others how do make them. And when I discovered digi-scrapping and fell in love with it, too, just as much as quilting. I just used the same name because I couldn't think of anything else. so here I am, digi-scrapping when I should be sewing, because I'm hooked. So, here I am, a certified digi-scrapping addict. And I wouldn't want it to be any other way.
