This was an all-day event and was something that we anxiously awaited every year. The decorating was the most important part of the cookie, didn't you know? We would spend so much time for each cookie to get it just right. Red hots. Sprinkles & jimmies. Silver dragees. Oodles of colors of frosting. Mom would spend her time making up batches of frosting in just the right color when we needed it. The cookies tasted better that way, too.
