Journaling says:
This is your second recital. This time you made it clear you did NOT want Daddy to help you by playing with you. You wanted to do it all by yourself! Your piece was called "Old MacDonald Had a Mouse" and was very similar to "Old MacDonald Had a Farm". You practiced and practiced and practiced. This song had a repeat in it. You were to play the left page twice before moving onto the right page which had two lines on it instead of just one. We went over it and over it and you had it down. When you practiced on the big piano before the recital started you played it correctly. You got nervous when the program began and you were first. You played through the opening line and hesitated ever so slightly as if you were trying to remember what to do and then you just went on to the other page and finished the song. You covered it well and anyone who didn't know the piece wouldn't have realized there was a mistake at all. Daddy and I were so proud of you for wanting to do it by yourself and we both thought you did a great job!
