This will be the third year I’ve picked a word to live by during the year! Prompted by Ali Edwards I chose ‘balance’ for 2009, ‘focus’ for 2010, and this year I decided on ‘now’, as in living in the moment. I am a worrier by nature, and I tend to focus on things that might or might not happen in the future. This means that sometimes I forget to live in the now and appreciate the moment. It’s been interesting reading articles on mindfulness in several magazines lately. It seems I’m not the only one having trouble to enjoy each moment as it comes! I’m sure I will still try to control things in the future, but I hope this little word will help me to focus more on today, and less on tomorrow!
