This is a poem that my DD wrote for a school assignment. It was so beautiful that I had to make a page about it.

ICE SKATING
Stepping onto the ice
the blades gracefully gliding across the rink
Center stage,
everyone watching.
As I start, I feel like an angel on ice.
As I swiftly glide
and then jump,
I am a butterfly,
showing off it’s wings to the world.
When I spin,
I am a bee dancing in the air. Then I glide, and I am a meadowlark,
shooting across the sky.
And as I do my final pose
I am a tiny chestnut tree
New to the world
Ahead of me.
