Journaling Reads: We first noticed Peggy last spring after she had her babies. She was this mother queail running around with TONS of babies. We named her Peggy because she has one good leg and one stump! But she gets around just fine on her little peg!

Sometimes the quail family lives in our yard. We see them all the time. Quail are SUPER fast, so its very hard to get photos of them! But on this day, all the other quail were up in a tree, Peggy walked around the front yard and let me take photos of her!

I bought some bird seed and started putting it out on the driveway and front walkway to see if the quail would come over more often and it totally works! I’m becoming a crazy bird lady. I video tape the quail when they come to eat and entertain me!
