We made plans to meet up with the M's during our vacation. They suggested that we visit the Huntington Gardens in San Marino since it was just a mile from their house. I hadn't been there in years and was eager to return. The part I remembered the most was the Japanese garden, and the images from the past all came back to me as I saw it all again - the bridge, the house, and the patio filled with the ancient bonsai. The scene from the entrance to that particular garden is just breathtaking. On the way to the garden we passed this magnificent lion sculpture in from of the Tea Room, and the kids made sure that they had their photos taken in front of it.
