JOURNALING SAYS:
Two years ago we visited Marineland in Niagara Falls, Canada. Out of all the attractions and activities there, there was only one that I really did not want to miss. It was the opportunity to pet and feed a beluga whale. I had never been that close to a sea creature before and it was an absolute thrill to touch one. The whale felt cold and smooth. I wanted to keep petting and feeding him, but of-course we were only allowed a very short time with him. My only concern was for the whale. I couldn’t help but wonder how it must feel having to stay still for so long and having all those people touch him. There were a few more beluga whales swimming in the tank, so I figured they must take turns, but still. As thrilling as it was to meet and touch him, I can’t imagine he was that equally thrilled to meet me.
