Desert Canyon Sun Bundle by Jady Day Studio
April 16, 1973: It was one of those vacations that I will always remember - our family's spontaneous Easter Vacation trip to Death Valley. We stayed in the town of Lone Pine, just outside of the park. The sites were amazing - especially Death Valley Scotty's Castle. We could stand the Badwater, the lowest point in North America and see Mt. Whitney, the highest summit in the contiguous United States. It was many miles in-between each site, and that Dad drove way over the speed limit to get there, something that he would never have done at home. It was somewhere I was happy to say I visited, but once was definitely enough! |
