Luke's first hospital visit (about 24 hours after I brought him home)! Here's the journaling: Poor little Luke. I brought you home from the shelter on January 19, 2010. You had a rough start in life, being only 2 months old, so I was hoping to give you a long happy life. You were small at just 9 pounds and they couldn’t explain why. That night I had you sleep in your crate, after all you weren’t housebroken yet! Sure enough, you did what puppies will do and woke me up by howling! I came in and began the chore of cleaning, first you, then the crate. As I was washing your left rear paw with baby wipes, you yelped! I knew you were in pain and checked. You had a big infection between your little toes! I cleaned it as well as I could and
put you back in your nice clean crate where you fell asleep. Early the next morning we went to the hospital where they had to sedate you. Somehow your toe had been ripped so they first stitched between your toes, then stitched your toes together. Finally, you wore that nasty cone! You had to take antibiotics for 10 days but were soon better and gaining weight like you were supposed to!

Stunning page! Poor thing. Love your gorgeous element clustering & paper stacking & journaling. The bandages on the journaling block & paper are a cute touch.
