We had a ward breakfast on Australia day and I had been telling the primary kids that I better go because they were going to play cricket - a game i still don’t understand. i thought I would just watch and learn a few things, but i got to bat as well. it is a strange sport when you are used to thinking about baseball. for example there are no foul balls and you hold the cricket bat completely different and go up in a sweeping motion - I kept wanting to hold and swing the way I was used to. It was fun to learn a sport that is an obsession around the world.
