Journal: When Bianca’s Pre-k class needed volunteer chaperones for the yearly trip to the pumpkin patch I jumped at the chance to join her and her classmates on their search for the perfect pumpkin.
What an adventure it was! We had an amazing hay ride out to the pumpkin patch where each child had the chance to choose their own perfect pumpkin to take home with them. Bianca took quite some time to find hers. She ran up and down the aisles of the patch searching so hard for the pumpkin that she would call her own. It couldn’t be too small or too big. No odd shaped pumpkins for her. It had to be perfect in every way. After picking up and examining over 20 different pumpkins she finally found it. Tall, clean and medium sized. No bumpys on it and perfect in every way! We then enjoyed a nice large picnic lunch in the fields followed by free time for the children to laugh and play on the home-made wood playground! Bianca really enjoyed the wooden teeter-totter. Soon it was time to head home and a long hay ride took us back to the bus to head back to school. The children all had their perfect pumpkins in hand and we put masking tape on each one labeling them with their names as we loaded the pumpkins under the bus in the storage department for safe travel back to school. What an amazing trip to the pumpkin patch! And wonderful memories to cherish! Credits River Rose : On the Wind Cluster Queen Creations: Give Me Layers Vol 18 Heather Hess : The Kathy |
