In mid December of 2008 Portland Oregon had a snowstorm that basically shut us down. With our hills and lack of enough snow plows, we can't handle that much snow. We had 2 1/2 feet of snow. It drifted another foot or so higher at the base of our driveway. We didn't even own a snow shovel - LOL - We were stuck at home by mid day on the 14th and didn't get out until the 24th for food for Christmas and even then, as we went down our big hill with chains on the car we saw more than one car that had not made it and instead had crashed on the way down!!!
