It all began with an episode of Caillou. He was having dinner at a friend's house & she mentioned how they eat sushi to which Caillou asked, “Can I try some sushi?” Since then you have been asking quite frequently, “May I try some soo-shee?” At first we just thought you were imitating the video, but we realized at some point how serious you were. Daddy & I have only had sushi once - in Chicago & were nervous about what we would find around our little locale. So, we agreed to take you to a sushi bar in Chicago when you got a little older. But as I was shopping for some treats for the first ever Roll Family Movie Night, I noticed that the grocery store made veggie sushi. I picked it up, surprising both you & Daddy at dinner time. We’ll never forget the look of confused excitement on your face. At one point you said, “It has carrots. Don’t want carrots.” To think I thought you wouldn’t notice them! You did try a bite & we are so proud that you did! You didn’t like it, but if asked you’ll excitedly say, “I like sushi!”
