Journaling: The pediatrician cam in Friday morning and said you were very healthy and it was okay for you to go home. Then we just had to wait for my doctor to come in and say that I could go home, too! We waited, and waited all morning long. Finally I asked the nurse where the doctor was. She told us that the on-call doctors were in an emergency surgery and that she didn’t know how long it would be. So we waited some more. We tried to sleep but our new next-roomneighbors were kind.f noisy. We asked again in the afternoon about the doctor, and the nurse told us she’d try to find out. So we waited. Late in the evening, at around 6:30, the on-call doctor came in. The emergency surgery took so long that there was no time in between all the other scheduled
surgeries to come see me. After all that, he said I was healthy and that we could go home!
We were so glad to finally get to leave. We didn’t end up getting home until almost 7:30 at night!
