For the new "My Story Matters" challenge!
CREDITS: - "Enjoy the Moment" by Sahlin Studios - Font: Pea Heather's Handwriting Journaling Reads: Growing up, my mom always made sure I looked cute. It was all about the bangs, the hair-do’s, the cute outfits, the coordinates, I was pretty stylish! And when it came to the bangs, it had to be perfect. The bigger the better! My side-ponies always rocked. I wasn’t really allowed out of the house without my hair being done. I got compliments on my “beautiful hair” wherever I went, and I never even attempted to do my own hair until well into 6th grade. Obviously, I was a total girly girl. In fact, on the first day of school every year until Jr. High, I wore a skirt! I loved looking girly and cute. My mom was a pro with the sewing machine and she made me LOTS of cute out fits! I always had a matching bow or scrunchie with almost every outfit and usually matching socks as well. I remember picking out an outfit and making sure I alternated colors from head to toe. For example, white bow, red shirt, white shorts, red socks, white shoes. I’m TOTALLY serious. I LOVED when I could make that work. New School clothes were the BEST! My mom would take me shopping (always on the sale racks) and get cute new clothes. We never spent a lot of money on name brands or stuff like that, but somehow my mom never failed to send me to school lookin’ great. I loved to mix and match my outfits and come up with new looks, so it seemed like I had a lot more clothes than I actually did! Bow, bangs, fun colors, side-ponies, french braids. That was me!! |
