Paris, IDAHO that is! And we’d visit her there every so often. I remember many things about our Paris visits. I loved the quiet little small town. It was quiet, safe, open, and sweet. One summer I got to go with my Grandma Hansen, just me and her. We drove up and stopped along the way at the Utah State University Creamery to buy the most delicious vanilla ice cream. Then we bought the famous Bear Lake raspberries fresh from a farmer on the side of the road to go on top of our ice cream. We ate it every night of our trip. We also stopped at a fresh water stream. Grandma told me it was safe to drink and that she used to always stop here for water when she would come to Paris as a little girl. We had breakfast at the church on the morning of the Fourth of July. I remember meeting lots of old people who thought I was so cute and polite. We ALWAYS visited Nana’s movie theater that she used to run way back in the day. It was closed up, but Nana told me that when she ran it, you could see a movie for a dime! Nana’s house what small, white & very cute. There were lots of things to look at in her house. Like postcards, photo albums, books, etc. I wish I could remember more about Paris and my Nana and her summer house. But the memories I do have are all wonderful. |
