Journaling reads:

I had resolved myself to going to 42 weeks with Landon, since I had almost gone that far with Brason. My appointment on the 23rd had gone well. Baby looked good and the only problem
I was having was some swelling in my ankle - apparently clearly indicative that labor is coming soon. Around 2:30 in the morning, Brason had woken and needed a diaper change. Pete changed him and went to put him in bed. When he came back to bed, I told him that I thought I was having contractions. He doubted me and said “are you sure?” since he was so tired. I was pretty certain and told him so. We called Elizabeth and the entourage of people that were to attend our first water birth. Pete went about cleaning up from the night before. I worked on picking up all the little threads and scraps from my pre-baby
sewing spree. Pete said he realized that it was really time when I would be on the floor getting up thread and just stop and breathe. When Elizabeth arrived she immediately had to go to the bathroom, as she was newly expecting herself. When she checked me, I was already at 8 cm! I knew it wouldn’t be long and got in the bathtub since transition was upon us. Pete had asked for Mom to pick up some milk and she knew when we told her how far I was, that she wouldn’t make it. I tried to pant through the pushing, but April gave me
“permission” to push since she saw how hard it was getting. Two pushes and he was out and into my arms. Just a few short hours! The fastest, most intense labor I had ever had. Mom got there about 3 minutes after he arrived. Brandi
got there about 15 minutes later. Pete was there, of course, as was Paige, and Kimbo - who had gone ahead of Mom. After our herbal bath together, we snuggled up in the comfy bed and slept the day away- peaceful, motherhood bliss.
