I know it seems silly, but I always wanted go to this donut shop when I was a kid. And that was only when we were either on the way to or from the Los Angeles International Airport. It's been there for as along as I can remember. I mean, what kid wouldn't want to go to a doughnut shop with a giant doughnut on top? But no matter how many times I asked, Mom & Dad never stopped there. I never stopped looking for it during those infrequent trips to the airport. Flash forward many years. I'm an adult and I can stop by Randy's Donuts any time I want! Wow. But since I had moved away from California it could only be when we were out on vacation - yet again, a flight to LAX. But I either couldn't find the shop or forgot about it until it was too late.

But this trip I made a point to ask the rental agency how to get there. So before we got onto the I-405 N, we made a short detour into the Randy's Donuts parking lot. My dream had finally come true!

The donuts weren't anything special, but at least I can now say I've been there, & so will my kids. Even they were excited to see it on the way back to the airport, 3 weeks later.

Ain't life grand?
