Journaling: One of these days, I know this quilt is going to completely fall apart... and I am going to be so sad to see it go. I have had it for years... since I was 12 or 13. My Grandma Long made it for me. I even recognize some of the fabrics as they were scraps left over from some of the clothes she used to make Nancy and me when we were kids. This quilt has never matched any of the bedding I have had, but I don't care. I love it. It is so comfy, and it reminds me of my grandma. She was so talented. She made some beautiful quilts and clothes for us when we were growing up. I remember sitting and watching her at her sewing machine or quilt rack and being amazed at her handy work. I guess I could put this quilt "away"... it has some serious worn spots and even a few tears... but I just can't bring myself to do it. And, I know Grandma would want me to keep on using it... ~8/09~
