For the 8.16.09 My Story Matters

Journaling:
When I was in middle school, I learnt how to play the flute. It all started because there was a teacher at my school who gave lessons, and my mom happened to have a flute at home. So I started, and I found out I quite liked it. I played for a few years, all through high school. Then I stopped taking lessons and gradually stopped playing too. I've always felt that some day I will start playing again.
I remember the first lessons, when I would just play using the mouthpiece, to learn how to get a sound out of the instrument. My teacher was an old man, very nice and patient; I never studied much but playing came quite easy to me. Of course, I never became really proficient, but I had fun playing duets with my mom on the piano.
