Journaling:
Avery is such a creative little eight year old. Today, we came from school to find a "pond" in the backyard from the heavy rain during the day. I look out back and see Avery in the trailer with an old stick just playing around. I just watched for a while and decided to pull the camera out and snap a few pictures. I managed to get quite a few before she noticed I am even out there with her. Later on, I asked Avery what she was playing and she told me she was a ship captain. It makes me so happy to see such imagination at work!
