For the Words for Wednesday Challenge

Journaling:
At the time of my birth in 1970, the trend was to give your children a formal name and then use a nickname. My parents named me Cynthia Ann but my mom has always called me Cindy Sue. She wished soon after that she had just named me Cindy Sue to begin with. When I was in the fourth grade a friend convinced me that I should spell my name C-y-n-d-i since my name is actually Cynthia. I've been Cyndi ever since.
