Journaling Reads: My first friend when I moved to American Fork was Camie W******. We met at a church softball game our dads were playing in. With the encouragement of my mom, I went over to her and said hello. She immediately took me under her wing and we became best friends very quickly. She invited me to play ‘night games’ with her and a bunch of other kids in the ward. We talked about boys a LOT. Typical teenage girl stuff.

Camie lived just down the street and around the corner, so we were always hanging out. We hung out at her house mostly, because she only had one younger brother so her house was always more quiet than mine. We had many MANY sleepovers!

Camie was a year older than me in school, it didn’t really matter. The year she went to high school and I stayed in junior high, we drifted a part a little, but when high school hit, we were close again. We always gravitated back to one-another.

Camie taught me stuff about make-up, clothes, music, and how to flirt. She taught me how to make the best mac & cheese, and the best Granny Bread toast. She introduced me to the TV show “Friends” which I would love for life. Camie always had LONG fingernails and she gave the BEST back tickles ever, as long as you promised to give her one in return!

Camie was always fun and bold. She had a lot of self- confidence, which I lacked, and I always thought she was so great. We had our ups and downs over those tumultuous junior high years, but all-in-all I will always love Camie. As the new girl, I will always be grateful to her for befriending me.

Great page! I love how you used the photo corners for the background paper. Such sweet journaling, too. It's hard being the new kid in Jr. High!
