Journaling:
Avery had her first book report assignment that included reading a minimum third grade level book, writing at least one paragraph about the book on one side of the provided oversized book mark and drawing scenes from the book on the other side. Avery decided to read Ivy + Bean Book One and really enjoyed it.
We talked about how tomake notes about the story which she did when she finished reading it. Avery converted those notes into a rough draft & then wrote her final report. She then spent 2 hours on her artwork. Avery took it to school and presented her report to her class. She did GREAT!!
