Here's my entry from my newest "My Story" challenge!
CREDITS: - "Eat Your Veggies" by Erica Zane and Denise Beatty Originals - Fonts: Pea MissStaker & Pea Lovey Dovey Journaling Reads: Growing up, I was ALWAYS the ‘tall girl’. They put me in the back row at dance, and in class photos. I was always taller than the boys. This picture is me and my cousin Blake. Our parents insisted we take this photo because poor Blake could NEVER catch me up in the height-department, much to his disappointment. I always wished I could trade with him and give him the height he wanted so I could be shorter. And to this day, I’m still taller than Blake! I’m pretty sure it was in Jr. High that I became as tall as my mom. And then quickly passed her up. (I did find comfort that at least my dad who was 6’3”would always be taller than me.) I always hated being tall. It was awkward and didn’t make me feel cute at all. People always asked if I played basketball, which I didn’t! It wouldn’t be until years later, around my senior year of high school, when I finally just accepted my height, put on high heels anyway and just owned it. But growing up being the tallest was never any fun. |
