I studied it in class, heard music inspired by it, and even had a poster of it on my wall in college. It was my favorite painting. When Mom and I went to the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York City, I was dying to see the REAL Starry Night with my own eyes. I couldn’t really I would be able to go and see this famous painting I’d loved for all these years. We made our way through the museum , when I turned the corner and saw a big crowd around one little painting. The crowd parted and there it was. My Starry Night Right there. I looked and looked and looked. it was so beautiful. Just exactly as I hoped. It was a lot smaller than I expected it to be. But It was spectacular. Special. And I saw it with my OWN TWO EYES! |
