After a Friday night sleepover full of talking, giggling,and just catching up after not seeing each other for so long, Avery and Gabrielle asked me first thing Saturday morning to go ice skating. Avery always asks to go and my typical response is, "no," just because I don't want to get out there and skate with her. So, I jumped at the chance to take her ice skating since she would have a friend to skate with! They started off at different paces - Gabrielle was very comfortable and had no trouble gliding across the ice. Avery on the other hand, held onto the side rail for the first 45 minutes before finally getting comfortable enough to venture out to the middle of the ice along with Gabrielle. From then on, they spent the next hour having a great time on the ice together.
