Journaling: This has always been my home, no matter where I have lived, or how long I’ve been gone. My parent’s house has always had happy memories for me and these are just some things that make this home, “my home.” 1. Our crazy steep and winding driveway that is a killer in the winter. I remember running up and down it to try and get in shape for basketball. 2. My kiddos always seem to have so much fun playing outside in our huge yard, no matter what the weather is like. I love being able to send them outside for the whole day and not have to worry about them. 3. My dad introduced us to basketball, a sport which has shaped my life. 4. Our home is always filled with animals. I love being able to have dogs in our lives and home again. 5. My siblings, although only 2 of my sisters still live in my hometown, I love being able to just hang out with them again. 6. My mom’s cooking has always been just amazing. I just hope that during my stay at home that I will be able to pick up some of her kitchen secrets. Although I would have rather returned in another fashion, I love being home again...it certainly has been too long.
