You saw my camera sitting on the kitchen table and wanted to take my picture. It’s only fair, I guess, since I’m always pointing a lens in your face. So we picked it up together, sat down on the floor, and I showed you how to look through the eye piece and push the silver button. It didn’t matter that you were only wearing an undershirt (you put it on for your afternoon rest, then refused to put anything over it once you woke up) or that you had a big boogie running out of your nose. This was just you and me, a mama and her little man, spending some precious time together.
