Journaling: It was Christmas 1968, which really doesn't seem so long ago. Both of my Grandmas had traveled to our home in Simi Valley to spend Christmas with us, the only time that my two Grandmas were together there. Oh, how I loved my two Grandmas. It was so special when we could see them since they lived so far away from us. And having them there this Christmas made the season all the more special to me.

And how I remember those dresses we wore! I thought that my red sweater, jumper & purse necklace - complete with my name on it - were so cool. I wore that ensemble every chance I got. And I couldn't wait until I was old enough to wear my sister's dresses! (Of course, when that time came around I wanted nothing to do with them!) So here we are. Cheryl, Mom, Wanda, me, Grandma A and Grandma L, posing in front of our house (still in it's original colors!) before attending church. Don't we look swell? I'd give anything to be able to have everyone together again. But at least I have my memories and this wonderful photo to help me remember it all.
