It’s the Sunday Spotlight and this week I get to spolight one of wonderful, talented, oh-so-fabulous Creative Team members!!

Mandy Rae!!!

Mandy Rae is such an asset to our team, and I was so so excited to get to know her more!

Mandy Rae, what is your main job/career? I am a SAHM (stay at home mommy) And I design for Divine Digital on the side.

Are you married/kids/pets? I am married to my wonderful brave solider Tony.  He serves in the USAF! Together we have a beautiful little girl Zoey, who will be 2 in March.

Where do you call home? We are in the military, so home is where we are from and our families are and that is in Ohio but right now we are stationed in South Dakota Ellsworth AFB

What are your three favorite foods? I love love love bacon cheese burgers lol and I also love pizza and chilli cheese fries lol I am a real fast food kind of girl lol

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? Ooooh. Let me see there are so many to choose from but I think just plain vanilla.  But, I really like sorbet even though really it isn’t ice cream.

Do you prefer salty or sweet snacks? I like both, but I think sweet more!

What is your favorite beverage? Cream Soda

What is your least favorite food? Hot Dogs. I hate them unless piled with a million toppings.

PC or Mac? PC

How long have you been digi-scrapping/How did you get into it? About 3 years now.  I started one day just browsing the computer and discovered it and was hooked ever since. lol  You know how that goes.

What program do you use to digi-scrap with? I am using Adobe Photoshop 8

What are your hobbies besides digi-scrapping? Hanging with my daughter and getting into as many activities as I can for military spouses. Oh, and shopping. I love to shop even if it is just for groceries.

What is the most challenging part of scrapbooking for you?  Journaling. I am a horrible writer.  Lol!

What would you like to learn to do (or do better) not related to scrapbooking? I think I would like to learn to fix my own car. lol With my hubby gone, I hate to have to call the other guys in the squadron to help do silly stuff like that.

What are your favorite books/authors? Well, I don’t know that I really have a favorite. I know I like James Patterson and Cathrine Coulture and I am starting to get in to Jodi Picult, but I am not sure if I am hooked on her yet. I do love the Chicken Soup for the Soul books.

What are your favorite movies? I love Dirty Dancing and Grease all those fun ones.  Oh, and the Notebook. Such a tear jerker. LOVE LOVE LOVE that one. I am sure there are a million more but those are my top 3

What is your favorite quote?  Favorite quote hmmmmmmm I think it would have to be do unto others as you would like done unto you! Got to live by the GOLDEN RULE!

What is one of your goals for 2008? Become more independent. My husband usually takes care of everything. My only job is to take care of my daughter, clean, cook and spend the money faster than it comes in. lol  But with my husband being deployed for most of the year, I am going to have to learn to be on my own and take care of everything.  Something I am definitely not use to.

How long does it take you to scrap a page from start to finish? ummm I think at least 10 min for my most simple ones but I have taken hours before!

I really love how you are able to use patterned papers in your scrapping!  I have a hard time with that!!  Are you drawn to the patterns more than solids?   Yes, I like pattern a lot more than solids. I think they just are more me. busy busy busy lol a little wild and a lot more fun!

I asked Mandy Rae to pick a few of her own favorite LOs that she’s done.  It’s one thing to look through someone’s gallery and pick your own favorites, but its interesting to see what the artist picks as her favorites.

In Mandy’s words:

“This is my first 2 page lo and I just loved it!”

“This one was my first time using extractions and I love how it turned out.”

“This was hard for me because I am not a big journaler, let alone about myself.  But I just love the feel.  It is really a lot different than my typical lo’s.”

It’s obvious that Mandy likes to try new things when she scraps.  All her favorite LOs are first tries and new stretches.  Interesting, huh?!
