What Matters Monday

Hi everyone!
Denise here to bring you another edition of What Matters Monday.
I have been thinking about capturing some of the more ordinary moments in our lives.
I think we all manage to capture the big things…we scrap about the first lost tooth, the day we got married, loved ones who really mean a lot.
But I want us to be able to look back on our scrapbooks and know that we captured something of the essence of our every days.
Life changes quickly, and I think that it is rare for anyone to live the same life year in and year out.
Things happen. Circumstances change.
But before they do, let’s document it. Let’s photograph it. Let’s scrap it.
How do we do that?
Well, I would suggest that we capture a day in our lives.
Get your camera out and take it with you for one entire day. Take photos of everything…random, seemingly ordinary things that don’t mean much by themselves…but when taken together give us a picture of your life.
Do you have to drag the kids out bed? Do you have the feed the dog? Do you have a desk at work piled high with papers? I am sure the list of things is endless.
Whatever your life may be today, odds are it won’t be the same for long. So, let’s get the big picture now. And then do it again, in another month or in a year. And soon, as you scrap these days, you will have a book filled not only with the most special moments of your life…but one filled with the ordinary ones too. And won’t that make it all the more complete?
So, just for fun, here’s a little glimpse into my everyday.

It isn’t everyday you can find a way to incorporate a toilet into your scrapbook pages. LOL!
I hope you found a little inspiration here. I am going to start a thread here in the forum here if you want to play along.I look forward to seeing a few of the days in your lives.
Happy scrapping!

Such a great challenge! I find even sometimes in the background of photos, seeing what washing was in the pile etc makes me remember little moments!

Love the picture of the toilet!
I’d have to add “pile making” to my LO. Thanks for sharing such a great idea, Denise.
