Saturday Special January 24th – Cropping

Hello Ladies!  Kelly (kkklatt) here with the Saturday Special.  Cropping photos is one of the easiest ways to make a good layout become a GREAT layout.   Let’s face it-not every picture we take is perfect.  Thank goodness for photoshop!  I used to be a paper scrapper, and believe me, cropping my butt out of pictures with my trusty zig-zag scissors was no easy task!  But I digress…
For the Saturday special, I challenge you to change the look and feel of your pictures-simply by cropping.  You could try focusing on a body part (eyes, a smile, feet).  Perhaps you could crop the picture into an interesting shape like a narrow rectangle or a small square (the easiest way is to use your shape tool to create the exact shape you want, then clip your photo onto it).  Another popular technique is to use the same picture several times, once zoomed in tight on part of the subject, once showing the ‘whole picture’.
