All crafters- digi scrappers, paper scrappers, paper crafters, you name it- experience it once in a while…

CREATIVE BLOCK

No ideas.  You arrange things around and nothing looks right.  Nothing is cohesive.  It’s frustrating as all get out.  I’m not out of creative ideas, but I am out of writing ideas.  <grin>  So, for this week’s Hybridology 101, let’s get some creative inspiration from some of the projects posted in the gallery recently!

The first project I found was this lovely door hanger by Juliemomof4:

Don’t you love the glittery butterfly?  And the heart has such wonderful canvas texture!  I also love how it’s not the traditional pastel baby colors, but warmer, earthy tones.  Great job, Julie!!

The next goodie is by my hybrid colleague, Karistamps.  She did a really neat twist on the traditional birthday invitation, using the Scrap Matter’s collaborative kit, You Say It’s Your Birthday:

Aren’t these fun?  And guess where she got the spatulas?  The dollar spot at Target!!  Gosh, I love the dollar spot- it’s quite possibly my second most favorite place on earth (it’s a really close second to Disney).

Finally, have you seen the adorable card set made by ocmath (Jaime)?  These were made using a collaborative kit called Peace and Quiet, by Andilynn Designs and Britt-ish Designs:

Such a simple design- yet, such stunning results!!  So clean and fresh!  I love the punched scalloped circles, and the flourishes, and the soft colors.  And the real ribbon finishes them off so well!!

I hope you have a chnce to look through the Hybrid gallery- there are some really great ideas in there!  Plus, there’s been a little bit more refinement in that gallery, so it’s easier to find what you’ve been looking for!  The Hybrid Gallery has been sub-divided into several smaller sections: Page layouts, Cards, and several other types of projects.  Please check it out and leave our contributors some love!!

I’ll be back next week with some more great valentine’s ideas!

Until then,
