Getting Hybrid 5/6
Happy May everyone! When I think of May, I think of Mother’s day and simply a month to celebrate the women in our lives. Today I want to show you a simply project that we can make for a VERY special woman in our lives, ourselves!
So, what are we making?
These!

An earring frame. A great show piece and storage device. I’ve been using it for a while and I simply LOVE how easy it is to find matching earrings for every outfit. Ready to make it?
First, we need to gather our supplies. We need a digital kit, perferably with a paper that makes your heart go pitter-pat! (small patterns work best).
I chose:
Dandelion Wishes by Jennifer Barrette
Next you need a simply frame (I chose one that’s 8 by 10 inches), a ruler, ModgePodge, and “Plastic Canvas” (you can get it from any craft store by the embroidery section). It looks like this:

Now you need to measure around your frame to create your paper strips. My Frame around the edges measures 9″ by 11″. I decided I wanted to do this in smaller strips, so I cut those measurements in half. Next you need to measure how wide those strips need to be. See the pictures below for a simple way to accomplish this:
First, take a scrap paper and secure it in your frame:
Wrap around the frame and press to score.
It should look like this:
Measure this and create your strips in your scrapbooking program, print and cut them out. To get perfect corners, fold the corner of a strip in and snip:
ModgePodge everything to your frame.
Embellish as you wish.
Last, cut your plastic canvas the same size as your glass and secure in the frame!
Here’s the project one more time:
Amanda came up with this lovely box to display a necklace using Vintage Spring by WM[squared]
Krisi made this to display and gift a necklace. She used Blooming Mini and Half Moon Bay by Chelle’s Creations and Box it up: Jewelry by Krisi’s Kreations.
Now it’s your turn! This month, your challenge is to create something to display or store the jewelry you create ( see Getting Hybrid 4/1) or purchase!
