Hybrid Corner – Inspiration Notebook
Thursday, March 31st, 2011
Hi everyone! Carina here bringing you another hybrid corner!
Today I wanna show you how to personalize an ordinary notebook for all your inpsirational thoughts and ideas to carry in your handbag. I used this digital kit by LDrag Designs:
Here´s a pic of the most of my supplies:
First of all you need to measure your notebook and use your software editing program – I use Photoshop Elements. Create four pages – one for the front, one for the back and two for the inside covers. Make sure to leave some kind of journaling box for your book´s title. Here´my pages printed and cut:
Chalk all the edges of your papers to give them a nice touch.
Now you need some tissue tape – I used one from Tim Holtz – to cover the spine of your book. This really makes it all more prettier:
If you want to you can attach a ribbon to use as a “bookmark”. Be sure to do that before you glue on your pages on your book. Stick it to the inside of your back cover. Now glue all your pages on your book. I used double adhesive tape. When that´s done seal your pages using decoupage varnish or ModgePodge. This will make your book more resistant to daily use in my experience. Now you should have something looking like this:
Now you´re almost done! To make the title I used some of my favourite clearstamp letters and stamped with a waterproof ink pad. Did you know that the word “inspiration” is the same in Swedish as in English?
I also attached some bling to the centre of the flowers and wrote my name on the back of the book where I´d put a little tag. And vóila! Your own personal book is finished!
Now – good luck with making YOUR personal book!
