Sandra of Studio 68
guesting this month. I have a few of her kits and I really like her designs. I asked Sandra to tell us a little bit about herself. I love what she said about her photography.
“My name is Sandra and I’m a digiscrap addict . I live in Suriname, South-America, where it is summer all year-long. I wouldn’t mind living in a milder climate. sometimes it is just too hot! I have a dog, Mika, who is sort of my baby. Not only is he huge, he is a mixed breed of Great Dane and Bullmastiff, he also regards himself as king of the house. He follows me everywhere he can, even if I move just a meter or so around the house.”
“Some of my hobbies are photographing every.single.thing, reading, shopping and spending quality time with friends and family. I also like watching movies, and listening to music.”
Wow, I am pretty sure a dog that big deserves to be the king of the house! Now let’s hear how Sandra moved from being just a digiscrapper and started designing.
“As a very active member in the community, I felt I needed another challenge other than just creating scrap pages and experimented with template and simple element and paper designs. I gave them away on my blog as freebies and had much success with them. That encouraged me to apply as a designer to some stores where I thought I would fit best and I was the luckiest gal in the world when I got accepted. It’s been a year and a half now, so far I’m still enjoying it all!”
“Being inspired by everything around me, from my 2-year-old niece, to colors, to just words, one simple thing can trigger many ideas. Sometimes I have to pull myself away from all the inspiration otherwise I get an overload.”
“If you ask me what my style is, I can’t honestly can’t tell you. I like all styles and try to reflect that in my designs, I want everybody to be able to use my products. Whether you are a clean, clustery, or art journal style kind of scrapper, many different things are included. And especially paint! I LOVE paint. It ties the whole page together! So that’s me, Studio 68 at your service!”
