Are You Up for the Challenge?
Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012As a scrapper – especially one suffering from lack of mojo or motivation – challenges are often just what I need to kick-start my scrapping routine. They’re also a great way to get to know other scrappers in the community and broaden your skills. Over the past year, ScrapMatters has undergone numerous changes and many of those changes have been related to the challenge system. The reasons are varied, the success of each system differs, but when it comes right down to it – when it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! 
I am so pleased to announce that our tried-and-true challenge system, Matter of Scrap, is back! We’ve made some minor tweaks to the original system that we feel will better benefit our community members, but the bones of the system remain in place: recurring challenges on a regular rotating schedule, the option to cash in points monthly for a percent-off coupon or bank them for even greater savings down the road, and daily posts from our challenge hosts that let you, the scrapper, be more involved, see some great inspiration, and get the recognition you deserve! We’ve even added the chance to win a guest CT spot and have left many of the days open each month for a wild card Matter of Choice challenge that will allow a bit more variety for those of you who don’t want to get stuck in a rut.
So come on over and see what all the fuss is about.. Challenges officially kicked off Oct. 1, but there’s no reason you can’t still play along! Those of you who have been eyeing this month’s gorgeous MAK offerings will find a challenge perfect for pages you’re probably already planning on scrapping, and if you’re a template junkie like me the Tuesday Template posted yesterday is right up your alley! I can’t wait to see what you create!!
