Why I Scrap…
“I scrap for many reasons–to remember loved ones who have passed on, to share my memories of when I was little and when my children were little. I have been scrapping in some form or another since I was six years old–almost 40 years now. I have scrapped for different reasons at different times of my life. This site is hopefully a little different than some of the others you’ve been too. My hope is that this will become sort of an interactive magazine. Sure there will be great layouts, exciting new products and fun challenges, but I hope it will also be a place where friends come to talk and share what’s important to them. A place to ponder what you value in your life. To be motivated about new ways to share that with your loved ones and friends. A place where you will be inspired to scrap what matters most to you!
If leaving loved ones a legacy of who you really are is important, you should focus on scrapping about your feelings and memories. If sharing memories of special holidays and family times is what matters most to you, then scrap that. If you scrap mostly to show your children and other family members that pictures of them are something you value greatly, then scrap them all. If you scrap to make art out of one or two of your loved ones photos that’s great too. If you scrap to create art with or without photos, that’s wonderful–the world needs more beauty. There’s no right or wrong answer to why you should scrap or what you should scrap about. What’s really important is that your scrapbooks and crafts reveal what you want to share about what matters to you. If you focus on that your scrapbooks will become precious works of art to be cherished now and in the future. Scrap what matters most to YOU! Why do you scrap? Please join me and my great team in the forum for a discussion of why you scrap and what we can do to help you accomplish your goals.”
