It is time to learn a bit about the rest of our guest designers this month at ScrapMatters. Today the spotlight is on Traci Reed and JM Designs.

JM Designs

I love how Jana answered the questions as if she was actually talking with me!

“I am Jana aka JM Designs. I´m 32 (omg, 33 in a bit!), a SAHM of 3 crazy boys and married to my hubby since 2006. We live together in a small town in the north of Germany. I started scrapbooking in 2002 and I fell in love right away. The designer thing started in 2004,  I think, wow, that´s 9 yrs now! I’ve had some ups and downs and took a long break in 2011. I couldn´t stay away so I started again

I work with PS CS2 and Photoimpact. My inspirations are everything I see and paper scrapbooking things. My style is… I don´t know?!  Fun and usable for all kind of things. I love what I do even when it´s hard to keep everything rolling

Traci Reed Designs

Traci’s designs don’t need an introduction but it was so nice to get to know a little bit about her while she is guesting with us.

“My name is Traci Reed and I’ve made it my life’s mission to help inspire as many lovingly-crafted, story-rich scrapbook pages as I can. I want my designs to be the springboard to beautiful scrapbook pages that capture all the emotion, details and love you put into your pages.

A little about me, I’m a wife, mother, maid, chef, chauffeur, entrepreneur and artist. My husband Patrick and I live in sunny Northern California with our three boys Karsten, Josiah and Finn. We have 1 rescued mini pincher/terrier mix puppy named Abby and that’s about all I can handle! Between taking the boys to school, karate and all the other extracurriculars, I somehow find time to come up with new digital scrapbooking product each week. When I’m not working, I love to craft, read, cook, knit or crochet, or just pass out in a heap of exhausted mommy on the couch!

I started designing at the end of 2004 when I was a young stay at home mom and we couldn’t make ends meet.  I’d had a bit of photoshop training in high school so I dove in with both feet and never looked back.  That makes 8 years now that I’ve been a scrapbook designer and I’ve never looked back!  I like to think of myself as an emotional designer.  I love to use color and words to convey emotions in my kits and have really pulled away from the more themey-inspired kits in recent years.  I’m highly inspired by both Art Journaling and Project Life recently and you’ll see a lot of that influence in my designs.”

It is time to hear from some of our March guest designers. We have had such a great guest list so far this year, haven’t we? We have 4 new guests this month and we will meet 2 of them this morning.

First up is Valorie Wibbens. I asked to tell us a little bit about herself and here is what she had to say. I love how she described her style!

“Hi, I’m Valorie and design under my name Valorie Wibbens Designs.. I’ve been digi obsessed and scrapping since 2008 and designing since 2009. I have 3 kiddos and have been married for 17 years and I live in sunny Colorado. I love all things artsy and handmade, feel passionate about photography, want to travel the world and love getting cozy on the couch knitting and crocheting!

I started designing about a year after I learned how to digiscrap. I just couldn’t get enough of it and loved creating in and using photoshop. I was on the We Are Storytellers store team at the time and was lucky enough for them to give me a shot at designing! Shortly after, it ended up closing and I moved to my current home, The Lily Pad.

To design, I use CS5 Photoshop and Illustrator, my Wacom Tablet, my Nikon D7000, and sometimes scanner.

I have a hard time describing my “style” as I feel like I’m all over the place! I love clean, modern, bold but vintage to artsy, funky, painterly, messy, and bohemian-vibe crazy. I think to sum it all up though, I like to be unique, out of the box, and just me. I tend to draw inspiration from everywhere, -a lot from color and photography, and of course Pinterest .”

Our next guest in the spotlight is Edeline Marta.  Go check out the pictures of the beach where she lives in Sweden, it looks gorgeous!

My name is Edeline Marta. I am married to John and a mother of 3 beautiful children. Charline 10, Marcel 8 and Baby Michael John 8 months old.
I live in a small town in Sweden, Halmstad. It’s famous for its beautiful beach, Tylösand. I have been living here for almost 13 years now.

I have been designing almost 5 years now. I got started because of Mindy Terasawa. I was her CTM and we chatted alot at that time. She inspired me alot, and that what got started me to learn to design. I design using Adobe Photoshop CS5 and sometimes I draw my own doodles in Illustrator using my Bamboo tablet.

My family has inspired me for every kit I have created. What they say or do inspires me
I am still learning a lot about designing stuff. I am hoping people will recognize my products and loves them ..

Erica Zane

Hi, I’m Erica Zane and I love to eat junk food…but maybe now isn’t the time to talk about that, mostly because I don’t have anything to munch on at the moment. I live about an hour from Washington D.C. with my awesome hubby & our 4 hooligans. I do not enjoy dishes or laundry or picking up messes, yet I spend a lot of time doing it. I love green, the beach, walking on nature trails, sushi, Nutella & random shopping trips to Target.

I think I’ve been designing about 5 years now but I can never remember when I started, lol.   I’ve been addicted to Photoshop since I stumbled across digital scrapbooking while browsing online for paper scrapbooking supplies.  One click and I was hooked!  My favorite thing about going digital was being able to try things without ruining my paper or photos.  One of my first stores was ScrapMatters, so it’s super fun to come back for a visit!

Jamie Seward Designs
My name is Jamie Seaward, I’m known in digiland as newfiemountiewife. I’ve been scrapping since 2007, and this is my very first design gig! I’ve been married for 13 years, and we have three awesome kids, Benjamin, Amelia and Rachael, plus our kitty Carley. I work full time as an assistant manager at a large building supply chain, so life is pretty busy for me.

My family is the love of my life. My husband supports me in so many ways, so that I am able to do a job that I love. My son is 12, he is going to be a scientist, and plans to either study geology or find a cure for cancer. He also loves to read and play Minecraft. My middle daughter is 10, she is a dancer to the core, dances in 5 classes a week, and loves animals. My youngest is 8, loves drawing, dancing, and playing Barbies. I cannot express how much I love them, or how proud I am of the people they are becoming!

I am a simple scrapper, keeping things small on my pages, as opposed to filling the entire page with large photos and elements. I have had a lot of my scrappy friends ask me to make some templates because my style is different than a lot of the typical templates out there, so I finally decided to do it. I know that my small style is outside of a lot of scrapper’s comfort zones, but I’m hoping that my easy to use templates will give people the opportunity to try something new and think outside of the box. Victoria Feemster Designs

Hi! I’m Victoria Feemster and I’m a 30 something photographer, digi-designing mom of 3 kiddos and wife to Brad. Sarah is almost 9, Jacob is 6 and Rebekah is 4. We have 2 Chihuahua’s named Poppy and Snickers. I’m also in the process of starting my own photo business and I work for a photography company that specializes in school and graduation photos.  I’m currently living in Arizona after being born and raised in Southern California until 2007. It’s pretty nice here when it’s not dead of summer and scorching HOT! I love my Kindle Fire, my Camera and Diet Pepsi. My husband and I are big time TV viewers. I seriously do not know how I have time for other things with the amount of shows we watch.

I began designing shortly after discovering the digi-scrap world in January of 2006 and I love it. I’ve been on hiatus and I’m very excited about my return to designing.  I design in Photoshop and I occasionally use Illustrator. I struggle with Illustrator so I try to push myself to learn it a little more every day. I only use a pen & tablet. No mouse. It drives my husband crazy but I love it and it works for me.

I find that I make most of my kits themed around holidays or whatever mood I’m in. My Uncertainty kit came to me while I was struggling with the decision if I should take a break from designing. My In a Mood came from a bad day at work and my brand new kit, My Day was designed in honor of my birthday a few weeks ago.  Color inspires me as well as fabric. I love going to the fabric store and looking at all the awesome designs and use of colors and patterns. My favorite colors are red and pink. I’m also digging lime green lately as well.
