Lisa (kelseyll) here to announce that we are starting up our LOTW/POTW (Layout of the Week/Project of the Week)  winners again now that it is 2012!!

What is it?  Well, I’m so glad you asked!  The ScrapMatters Girls (SMG – a team of ladies that monitor the gallery and leave love) are watching for layouts or projects that are outstanding in some way, shape or form!  At the end of the week they submit their pick of one layout and one project to be featured. This is no easy task and it is really hard to just pick ONE!  So hard, in fact, that we created a second blog just to show off even more of our talented scrappers.  You can see the GSO(Gallery StandOut)  Blog HERE!  At the end of the month the SMG vote on their faves for the monthly winner who receives a gift card to the ScrapMatters store!  Pretty terrific, right?  So, the more layouts you upload the better chance you have of being selected!!

Here is my choice for LOTW. That has to be one of the cutest baby pictures I have ever seen and I love how she has repeated it, especially the little one hanging in the scale. The background paper she chose, while a solid color it has so much texture and variation it adds so much interest to the layout without taking away from the photos. The element choices and placement are just perfect.

I love this layout!!  First of all, it is DISNEY….and who doesn’t love Disney??  Secondly, I thought it was such a clever use of this kit because I can totally identify with her journaling!!!  I love her twist on making a triathlon kit fit in with her activity while on vacation…pool, walking, etc.!!  So, fantastic kit + fantastic idea = fantastic layout!  Congrats to jennschultz on being this week’s Layout of the Week winner!

As I was driving to town today I was noticing the gorgeous fall colors… then as I flipping through all the gorgeous layouts in the gallery, this one by karen32 seemed to “call” to me. It is just beautiful… I love the colors and the blending… fabulous with these photos from the farm!
