Kairyn here with today’s Bingo Challenge… you know you can see all the challenges for the month posted right here, but we like to give you a bit of inspiration each day!

Today’s challenge is a “Layer It” challenge… create lots and lots of layers with paper on your layout today! If you need help getting started, there is a great mini template pack in the store called Gimme Paper Stacks Vol. 1 by Cluster Queen Creations:

And some inspiration by Trista – I love all her layers at the top of her layout:

Obscure Holiday Challenge – April 22 is “National Jelly Bean Day”, so use some candy on your LO.  What fun!  My kids LOVE candy (well, so do I)!  Here they are eating those fabulous ring pops that last forever and I am sure are SO not good for their teeth!  I used the awesome How Sweet It is by Amy Stoffel and Layer It Volume 2 Template Pack by Mye De Leon:

Hope you have fun adding candy to your pages.  It does not have to include photos of candy.  You can do something like “As sweet as candy” for a title and then sprinkle candy all over your page!  Enjoy!  And don’t forget to join us in the other April challenges over here.

It’s a Family History Challenge, April 17th is “Ellis Island Family History Day” so your challenge for today is to scrap a heritage (or family history) page. Here is a bit of inspiration:

Carol created this fabulous layout about her father during WWII, I love all the stars and what a cool story!

I created this one of my maternal grandparent’s wedding day:

Another idea would be to scrap a page of you as a child, or a page that is a family tree, or even a photoless page that tells a long-ago story you don’t want to forget.

Remember, all the challenges are posted right here in our forum and you have all month to complete them! I can’t wait to see your Bingo card fill up with wonderful layouts!

Hello everyone! I am Krista. I’m fairly new to the CT and this is my first blog post! Yay! I am so excited to bring you today’s Bingo challenge! Today I have a Rainbow challenge for you. This time of year (at least where I live) we are getting a lot of rain! Ugh! But a lot of times, along with the rain, we see those beautiful rainbows! So, your challenge is to scrap a rainbow page. You can use a picture of a rainbow or you can use a rainbow element. You can use  papers in all the colors of the rainbow. That’s Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet, or ROY G. BIV, lol.

Here is the page I made:

I used “A Year In Pictures: Cardstock” by MHK Scraps. As well, as various flowers from my stash.

Kairyn here to bring you today’s challenge…

Given that this month we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, I thought it would be neat to host a “Shamrock Challenge”! A shamrock has three and sometimes four leaves, group three or four round photos into a shamrock-like shape for your layout.

Here’s one I created using Stolen Moments’ brand new kit The Luckiest:

and Calliclaire created this one using Feeling Blue by Find Your Bliss Designs and Blueprints 2 by True Blue Studio:

Lastly, Quiltymom created this one using Journey of the Heart available in the shop of KimB:

I love the giant photo blended into the paper!

SO… your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to create a shamrock-shaped photo cluster! Have fun doing it, and come back tomorrow for the next challenge and some more inspiration!

Hi all, Happy Thursday!  Carolyn here to bring you your inspiration for Challenge 19: Use a Black and White picture on your page. 

I have to admit that this WAS a bit of a challenge for me as I really love color photos.  But sometimes there is a particular kit that is perfect for my photo, but the colors just look horrible together.  That’s when a black and white photo makes all the difference. 

Here I was just LOVING Amber’s kit and wanted to smack every element in it on the page…I just love them all THAT much.  So, with all those papers and elements, my picture was lost.  Not anymore!  Once I changed it to black and white, it was much more visible on my busy page.  Here’s my layout that I had so much fun making with Just One Of  The Boys by Stolen Moments and Jenn Barrette Designs:

Here’s a sweet layout from Annisa, using It’s A Boy Thing by Haynay Designs and WM[Squared] Designs:

And here’s a fun layout from Jan with a partial extraction, using Backyard BBQ by The Design Girl:

Kairyn here with today’s challenge! One of my favorites:

14. Extreme Makeover – re-scrap one of your older layouts.

I know some people feel that they don’t want to go back and redo a layout they’ve already finished. Instead, they wish to keep moving forward. I understand that, and when I was new to scrapping, I felt the same way! However, my scrapping style has evolved over the few years I’ve been a digi-scrapper, and since I print my books chronologically, there are many pages I’ve created, but never printed… if it hasn’t been printed it’s fair game for a makeover! lol

I chose this one to make over:

I like the blend, the journaling, the clusters… but I was never happy with how dark and noisy the photos are. Now that I know a little more about fixing those problem photos… I came up with this using New Beginnings by Diana’s Creations and Minimal Style Vol. 1 Templates by Memory Clips.

I hope I’ve encouraged you to try a makeover – you might be impressed with just how fun this challenge can be! Until next time… ta-ta!

13. Monthly Matters: Show us a calendar topper you’ve created.

I couldn’t decide which page I liked better, so I have 2 versions for my Jan 2013 calendar, I used Best Wishes by Diana’s Creations…

Fonnetta made this great sample for us using Jeanine DeOre’s Poppie Collection and Add-on and Haynay Designs Year in the Life: Alpha:

And Kayla created this one with Snowy Tales by Down This Road Designs… even though it doesn’t have a month on it, it’s still perfect for a winter month… January, February or even December, right?

This challenge was a life-saver for me last year, so I hope you start your 2013 calendar with me! Special thanks to Kairyn for helping me with this posting whilst I had NO power!!!!

6. Let’s get hybrid- create a checklist of some sort to help you get organized and show us your handiwork.
Stolen Moments has a helping hands kit that would be great for a chore chart.

She also has some ready made printables available.

And Simply J has some lists. These would be cute dressed up. They are 5.5×8.5 so they would fit on a altered clipboard or other background and look really cute.

She has calendars, home reference centers, and holiday planners available as well!

Diana’s Creations – Fruitmania would be fun for a grocery list or menu planning list.

I used Helping Hands by Stolen Moments and created this small chart just for me. I plan to print it 6×6 and stick it on a kitchen cupboard door to keep me organized and FLYing!
